Summary

The Marubeni Corporation prepared a multi-facetted proposal (in conjunction with an international consortium) to become the main contractor for the upgrade of the deep-water container and industrial port at Muara, which is located just north-east of Bandar Seri Begawan, the capitol city of Brunei.

The primary improvements were to be focused on expanding and enhancing the industrial areas in and around the existing container wharves and their supporting facilities (on 25 acres of existing and reclaimed land).

Major equipment requirements included the delivery of several large-scale container cranes as well as operational support and ground transportation vehicles.
