Summary
In conjunction with the Netherlands Development Cooperation agency (a branch of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs), the Japanese overseas development agency, JICA, and the Tomen Corporation (now known as Toyota-Tsusho) conceptualized and produced an all-inclusive proposal that defined the specifications for the construction of a fully-equipped facility in Sri Lanka dedicated to the study and research of economic development within the country.
The proposed Ministry of Finance "Economic Development Center" in Colombo, was to feature the use of the latest digital economic-modelling technologies that would be capable of processing data prepared by a Dutch-led consulting team.
