Summary
The Asia Consulting Group, headed by Asia Air Surveys Co. Ltd., provided a proposal for the aerial mapping and data processing of all KCRC rail corridors for the purpose of maintenance and expansion of tracks within Hong Kong and along the rail service right-of-ways into Canton.
Digital information gathered during the subsequent project was integrated into a Geographic Information System that featured photo overlays and cadastral boundaries just prior to the return of the Hong Kong territories to China.
